Here are some additional tips for planning your trip

  • The best time to visit Kerala is during the monsoon season (June-September), when the hills are lush and green. However, the weather can be unpredictable during this time, so it's important to be prepared for rain.
  • The shoulder seasons (October-November and March-May) are also good times to visit, when the weather is pleasant and there are fewer crowds.
  • If you're on a budget, you can stay in homestays or budget hotels. However, if you want a more luxurious experience, there are many resorts and spas in Kerala.
  • Be sure to try the local cuisine, which is known for its use of spices. Some of the must-try dishes include fish curry, beef fry, and appam (a type of pancake).
  • Tipping is not expected in Kerala, but it is appreciated.
